These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Comet Innovations website and the smart home design, installation, and maintenance services we provide. By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
Comet Innovations provides smart home technology consulting, system design, equipment installation, programming, and ongoing maintenance services for residential properties. The specific scope of work for each project is defined in a separate project proposal or service agreement.
Consultations are scheduled through our online booking system powered by Acuity Scheduling (a Squarespace product). By booking a consultation, you agree to Acuity's terms of use in addition to these Terms. Consultations may be rescheduled or cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice.
All installation and service work is governed by a separate written agreement that outlines scope, timeline, pricing, payment terms, and warranty details. Work does not begin until both parties have signed the project agreement and any required deposits have been received.
Payment schedules are defined in individual project agreements. Typical terms include a deposit at signing, progress payments during installation, and a final payment upon completion. Service plan payments are billed on the schedule specified in your service agreement.
We stand behind our work. Installation labor is covered by our workmanship warranty as detailed in your project agreement. Equipment warranties are provided by the respective manufacturers. We'll help you navigate any warranty claims that arise.
Comet Innovations is not liable for damages arising from third-party equipment failures, software updates by manufacturers, internet service interruptions, or events beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific services in question.
All content on this website — including text, images, design, and code — is the property of Comet Innovations and may not be reproduced without written permission. System designs created for your project become your property upon final payment.
